Set presentation goals that are relevant to your participants’ needs: 1. What are your learning outcomes for the participants? 2. What are your participants’ current goals? 3. Reframe the learning outcomes in terms of your participants’ goals

Establish a relationship of trust and openness:

• Make them feel welcome
• Recognize them as equal contributors
• Invite questions and comments

Make It Easy to Understand

• Set the context & the “why”
• Introduce it, say it, summarize it
• Give time to absorb, reflect, use
