HEALTH & SAFETY

We are pleased to provide the following safety information for the components of your tour that we are arranging. Accommodation

All accommodations have returned a completed safety assessment in line with the requirements set out by the School Travel Forum which we are assured members of. The checklists confirm that the hotels have smoke detection, fire alarms, and more than one means of escape. The checklists also confirm the existence of an appropriate food management system and general safety areas such as swimming pools and security.

Transportation

All of the transport providers have returned a completed safety assessment in line with the requirements set out by the School Travel Forum which we are assured members of. The checklists confirm that the transport providers have a valid Operating Licence, are in possession of valid indemnity, public liability insurance and transport specific insurances. They also cover the management of driver hours & fatigue, driver recruitment (including CRB checks, where appropriate), vehicle maintenance and emergency procedures.

Activities/Sightseeing

The transport providers used to take you to these venues is included in the above. Safety assessments have been provided in line with the School Travel Forum requirements for all of the sightseeing mentioned in this presentation and what sightseeing the group will partake in. In addition to any group management tactics the Group Leader feels is applicable we would also remind the group about the importance of following instructions and having a pre designated meeting place should anyone get lost.
