  1. PRESENTATION OF SCIENTIFIC WORKS 1. The scientific works for the CLASA-Uruguay Congress will be presented in electronic posters during the congress. 2. All registered works must be original and displayed by its authors. They can be written in Spanish or Portuguese. 3. A same work may be presented to one of the poster categories or to the CLASA José Delorme Prize, meeting the particular rules of each of them. 4. The works will be included in the poster session item in the official program of the Congress, with the following information: title of the work, author (s), institution and country of origin. 5. The title will explicitly indicate the subject of the work, composed by key words that will facilitate their classification, without abbreviations, in capital letters and bold letters. If the title includes a subtitle, use a second line in lowercase and bold. 6. The abstract must be sent to the Scientific Committee of the Congress by e-mail to comitecientifico@clasauruguay.uy. The deadline for its presentation is June 9, 2017. 7. It must be written in one of the two languages mentioned. 8. It must have a maximum of 250 words, the font must be Tahoma or Arial. It must state the purpose of the work and the importance of the subject and it should include methodology, results, discussion and conclusions. 9. Each ABSTRACT should include the first and last name of the author (s), in a separate line, institution and country where the work was done. The footnote should include the author responsible, to whom the correspondence should be addressed and email address. 10. Numbers below ten shall be written in letters and the others in numerals except at the beginning of a sentence where all numbers should be written in letters. 11. Abbreviations cannot be used in the abstracts of the works with the exception of those accepted internationally. 12. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to not accept a work which, to its judgment, does not consider convenient. 13. The abstracts of the posters presented at the Congress will be published in the Anesthesia- Analgesia-Reanimation journal of the Anesthesiology Society of Uruguay.

PRESENTATION OF ELECTRONIC POSTERS Once the abstract of the work is accepted by the Organizing Committee, it will be presented in the Congress in COMPLETE form in the format of ELECTRONIC POSTER which will include: (title, subtitle, authors, reference of the authors (title, academic positions), summary with key words, introduction and/or objective of the work, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions and bibliography) in the format of ELECTRONIC POSTERS, to which a number will be assigned and will be classified according to the subject addressed. The works will be classified according to the following categories: a) Ambulatory Anesthesia b) Neuroanesthesia c) Obstetrics d) Pediatrics e) Pain f) Perioperative Medicine/ERAS g) Pharmacology h) Regional Anesthesia i) Critical Care j) Cardiovascular k) Airway l) Safety m) Education n) Investigation o) Technology p) Miscellaneous The author responsible of the work will be notified day and time of his presentation during the congress, AND HE MUST INFORM WHO WILL BE THE PRESENTER OF THE WORK DURING THE CONGRESS.

  3. ELECTRONIC POSTER FORMAT 1. It will be presented in Power Point 2000 XP or 2007, saving the file as PPT, not larger than 2 MB. 2. The size of the presentation template should be 21cm wide by 32cm long. The assigned number of the poster must be indicated in the upper right corner. Font should be Tahoma or Arial, title size 24 and text size 20. In the presentation of the posters, the complete word must be written the first time, then, between parentheses, the abbreviation, which can then be used in the text (this was in the presentation of the abstract). 3. The bibliography should be placed at the end of the work, numbered according to how it appears in the text, placing each reference in a different line. Each reference must include: last name of the author (s), initial (s) of the name (s), title of the work, name of the magazine (abbreviated according to the INDEX Medicus), year of publication, number of volume: number of the first and last page. Website if it is not published through the site, in addition, URL address and access date (this was also in the abstract). 4. It is recommended to take into account the background color of the template and the font contrast for an optimum visualization on screen. 5. It can be inserted: tables, figures, videos (format MPG 1, 2 , 3 or 4, DIVX, AVI, Quick time or Windows Media), so as to not lose sound quality. 6. QR codes or presentation augmentation techniques are not allowed. 7. They will be presented on 42” plasma screen -vertical orientation. 8. The author that will present the poster shall arrive 10 minutes prior to the hour assigned by the committee. If he fails to do so without a justified reason, he will be rejected for future presentations of works in the next CLASA Congress. 9. The author will have 7 minutes for exhibition and 3 minutes for questions and answers, not being able to exceed this time. 10. In the poster session, the template will remain static during the time corresponding to the presentation. 11. When the authors are absent, the works will not be exposed although they will be mentioned by the moderator of the visit.
