Sacramento Fall Chinook • Declared “overfished” last year, due to three year average escapement below minimum threshold. • PFMC adopted increased escapement goals of >151K (Alternatives I and II) and >180K (Alternative III). • PFMC will finalize escapement target in April. • Rebuilding Plan to be finalized in June.

  10. Klamath Fall Chinook • Escapement goal is >40,700. • Declared “overfished” last year, due to three year average escapement below minimum threshold. • Rebuilding plan to be finalized in June.

  11. Southern Resident Killer Whales (SRKW) • NMFS last consulted on potential effects of PFMC salmon fisheries on SRKW in 2009. • Re-initiating ESA consultation with the intent to complete it before 2020 fisheries are adopted. • PFMC and partners work with NMFS to provide information for 2019 and support NMFS consultation for 2020 completion.
