  2. The key activities of the company includes purchasing, collection, recycling and sales of secondary raw materials. EMP recycles:  electronic equipment waste;  non-ferrous metal waste;  precious metal waste;  catalyst waste.

  3. EMP attitude towards waste: • all waste has value if it is managed properly; • there should be no dumps in Lithuania. Management systems for waste owners should: • be comfortable, modern; • save time and money of consumers. Providing information – an inseparable part of systems: • information should be practical; • interesting; • stimulating and motivating.

  4. PRODUCTIVE CAPABILITIES 22000 tons of electronic waste, up to 1 000 tons of wires and cables up to 500 tons of automobile catalysts per year.

EMP WASTE TAXI At the end of 2004 and beginning of 2005 EMP Recycling created e-waste collection network from households. “ EMP Recycling ” began collection of computers, monitors, televisions, refrigerators, audio equipment, printers and other home electronic devices.   8. NETWORK OF1000 CONTAINERS FOR SMALL EEE WASTE In August of 2013th EMP Recycling presented the network of 1000 containers in Lithuania. Consumers can find the nearest container at www.mesk-i-konteineri.lt and throw away small an old household appliances waste in environmentally safe way. The aim of the project is to prevent access of 2200 tonnes waste of small electrical and electronic equipment to landfills. Indoor containers are in schools, universities, buildings of municipal administrators, companies, public administration offices, museums, business centers, libraries and other public places.

  16. HOW MUCH? Lithuanians each year brings about 3 million tons of various waste in the dumps, nearly half of it are unsorted municipal waste. 1 citizen Lithuania 4-11 kg Over 2,000 tonnes of waste electrical and electronic equipment in Lithuania is still disposed of with other waste every year!

  17. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKES? IS IT DANGEROUS? Waste which contain metal disposed in dumps takes up to 100 years to decompose, and waste with plastic - even over 200 years. Batteries consists at least 22 toxic elements (plastic and metal too). All of these elements can be extracted and used in new batteries and other consumer goods.

  19. to know The waste can not be thrown into the general trash, dumps or be disassembled. We (consumers) are paying for waste management: in Lithuania according to directives of EU is legalized responsibility of producers – importers. They currently have to organize and finance 40 % of the electrical and electronic equipment waste processing.
