What measures to use the entire potential offered by Space to the benefit of the EU 2020 Strategy? • We must establish a space industrial policy to strengthen the competitiveness of our industry. • We must support research and innovation related to space in order to reduce the technological dependence of Europe and to enable space industry and other sectors of the space economy to exploit the multiple benefits generated by space . • We must give telecommunications satellites the importance that their innovative potential deserves. �� European Commission European Commission Enterprise and Industry Enterprise and Industry

International cooperation in space is a must • Space is a global issue and we must pool our technological and financial means . • We actively seek to strengthen cooperation with our partners from U.S., Russia, China and others . • We must also look to Africa in order to benefit the African citizen from space applications. �� European Commission European Commission Enterprise and Industry Enterprise and Industry
