The foundry extols a long and glorious history in the iron cast boilers field and its products were sold all over the World. The foundry was the first important investment by Dante Ferroli, which led to the opening of factories all over Europe that introduced innovative technologies, becoming in the last years a benchmark for the all sector and for multinationals competitors. Throughout the 2000s a lot of Italian foundries suffered:

  • the increasing of the production costs, which did not allowed them

to be competitive anymore;

  • and the decrease of the demand for iron cast items on behalf of

aluminum and steel inox. Such situation affected Ferroli as well and its production volumes decreased from 72K pcs to 12K pcs.

We are able to melt cast iron and cast iron with high carbon in order to produce boilers and self-ventilated brake discs. The foundry counts two domes with hot wind with a diameter of 1100 mm.

The factory today has a production capacity that equals 17.000,00 kg of iron cast /h allowing the production of about 80.000 boilers and 1 million of brake disc each year .

The average of our production is of items up to a maximum of 120 Kg, which allows us to cast a single piece each 16/18 seconds. The conveyor belt (apron), after they had been detached with a cooling circuit, carries boilers’ elements and brake discs to their sandblasters.

ANALYSIS

We have a testing lab with a quantometer, RK durometers and some other instruments that allows us to release quality certificates for our products.

Core department counts three productions line:

Studies of the various casting systems are performed at second of type of processing and made the dimensional checks the drawing for the certification requested by our clients.

Emissioni atmosfera

  • Controllo periodico emissioni in atmosfera su 16 camini mediante laboratorio accreditato (nessuna NC rilevata fino ad oggi);
  • Verifiche in autocontrollo mediante strumentazione analitica (Testo 350) acquistata da CFD;
  • Mantenimento in piena operatività dei sistemi di abbattimento (scrubber, filtri, dosaggio calce, ecc).

Scarichi

  • Trattamento di sedimentazione delle acque meteoriche ed analisi periodiche chimiche
  • Smaltimento semestrale fanghi vasche

Rifiuti

  • Conferimento in impianti recupero e smaltimento autorizzati e controllo periodico dei profili autorizzativi (trasportatori e smaltitori);
  • Compilazione ed archiviazione documentazione di tracciabilità dei rifiuti e presentazione annuale MUD;
  • Caratterizzazione analitica periodica dei rifiuti (almeno annuale);
  • Gestione dei depositi temporanei rifiuti: R. non pericolosi coperti da tettoia o in cassoni chiusi, R. pericolosi in aree controllate e coperte in

assenza di rischi di dilavamento;

  • Acque di lavaggio delle linee e acque di condensa dei compressori stoccate in cisterne in condizioni di sicurezza e smaltite periodicamente;
  • Piazzale esterno ed aree interne puliti 3 volte al giorno.

Scarichi

  • Trattamento di sedimentazione delle acque meteoriche ed analisi periodiche chimiche;

Suolo e sottosuolo
