The diameter of the main channel is 3,300 mm and the diameter of the branches - 2000 mm. All flange connections of segments had been tested for compatibility after their manufacture. The total weight of the entire ventilation system amounted to 150 tons.

The feature of this project is that the channel is deviding into two brances and connects to chimneys threw watercooled Butterfly valves. Inside the vents mounted special anchors on which a ceramic insulation were applied that protects the system from overheating.

Structurally, the tray reduces the feed rate, which eliminates the splashing of the molten metal and allows the raw material fed into the melting zone accurately. The tray is made of a two-layer tube. The inner surface of the pipe is covered with a layer of hardened metal that is resistant to impact and abrasion when moving fed materials. These enhancements significantly extend the life of the feed channel tray.
