“The first question the priest and Levite asked was, “If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me? But the Good Samaritan reversed the question: ‘If I do not stop and help this man, what will happen to him?’” ~ Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ~Heart of gospel is loving people—even those different—especially those different!

3. . Love Those Different From You

  • 1996 – 18 y/o Keisha Thomas, KKK rally in Michigan.
  • "I knew what it was like to be hurt. The many times that that

happened, I wish someone would have stood up for me.“

  • She crossed the street to help someone different, even hostile to her.
  • She believes still that we can daily do small things that break down

stereotypes.

  • "The biggest thing you can do is just be kind to another human being.

It can come down to eye contact, or a smile. It doesn't have to be a huge monumental act.”

Racism

  • Racism – not just the presence of hatred. It is also the

absence of love.

  • “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor

is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Gal 3:28)

  • “...There before me was a great multitude that no one

could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb...10And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” (Rev 7:9-10)
