  8. What is the Passport to Health and Wellbeing Excellence? For ALL STAFF The aims for the Passport to Health & Wellbeing Excellence are to: • provide a structure and pathway for participants to maximise both mental and physical health • provide participants with a variety of options depending on interests • disseminate key information to help participants (and their colleagues) keep healthy • encourage participants to take a holistic approach to a healthy lifestyle • raise awareness of the importance of physical & mental wellbeing • recognise the importance the University places on staff wellbeing • provide tools to allow staff to monitor own health • facilitate the creation of a network of health and wellbeing ‘ambassadors’ in different University workplaces • raise profile of St Andrews as a great place to work

Passport to Health and Wellbeing Excellence • Will be part of ‘Passports’ which is a popular, award winning, sector leading, concept • Complete within two years • 4 core sessions • Minimum of 8 optional activities • Will include some seasonally appropriate events • Ranging from a couple of hours to 2 days (Scottish Mental Health First Aid) • A lot of the activities already delivered and planned • Some will be over lunchtimes/early evening • Participants will join University Health and Wellbeing network • Can remain involved in an Ambassadorial role on completion - ‘ Alumni Club ’ (format) • Certificate

  11. Mental Wellbeing • Core: Mentally Healthy workplace • Optional: • Resilience • Sleep hygiene • Scottish Mental Health First Aid • Self Esteem & Confidence • Gardening for Relaxation • Achieving a work/life balance • Alchohol, drugs and smoking awareness

  17. When will the events take place? • First core workshops on 10 March • Eating Well • Mental Wellbeing/Steps for Stress • All will be advertised on PDMS – some on now • Priority for those signed up to the passport • Courses and events will be run on different days/times

FAQs • What if I have already attended one of the courses – will I be pre-accredited? • If I do a course as part of the Passport to Health & Wellbeing which is core on another passport programme which I later sign up to – will I get pre-accredited? • What if I have an idea for a course/event? • How many places are available on the programme? • How will you allocate the places? • Do you have to attend a launch event before you can sign up? • Does the length of the optional courses matter? • What if I don’t want to sign up to do the passport, but want to go to some of the events? • How much does it cost? • How will you evaluate? • Is there a new stamp?

  20. How do I sign up? • Download form • Discuss and approve with your manager • Send to CAPOD! • Check PMDS – pencil in diary • Passport control will be in touch after 29 February
