• 1952 – airway concept won against the “free flight areas”; first basic European airways network was

developed

• 1952 – first frequency assignment meeting to resolve the VHF frequency congestion (19 VHF channels

assigned throughout the EUR Region)

• 1965 – Limited NAT Regional Air Navigation (RAN) Meeting: RVSM and the use of satellites envisaged
• 1965 – creation of NAT SPG

• 1995 – RVSM in the NAT
• 1999 to 2007 – Bosnia and Herzegovina Technical Cooperation/Assistance Programme
