How do we do our maths?

Teaching Maths at Mab’s Cross

 Number is at the heart of our Maths curriculum. Therefore a large

proportion of time is spent reinforcing number to build competency.

 Teachers do not teach any National Curriculum objectives beyond

their year group. This ensures students have the opportunity to stay together as they work through schemes of work. This ensures depth

  • f understanding.

 Teachers provide plenty of opportunities to build reasoning and

problem solving elements into the curriculum
