  • Celebration Assembly:

– Form Attendance League, – £5 draw based on the Uniform and Equipment – £10 draw for top 10 students with regards to commendations gained.

  • A1 Club prize draw - following each A2L cycle, a prize draw in which the

names of all students in a year group who achieved a full set of A1's have the chance to win £15.

  • Key Stage Award Evening.

– Year 7 with Adam Corbally, BBC The Apprentice Finalist (and Father Christmas), at the Town Hall – Year 8-11 again at the Town Hall with Hannah Cockroft MBE – External Exams Awards Evening at The Hippodrome with former professional footballer Andy Booth and an ex-student who achieved a 1st Class Honours Degree from Cambridge University and now works for the UN.

  • Good Luck Garden Party for Year 11 and Post 16.
  • Student Leadership Opportunities including Uniform and

Equipment Monitor, Sports Captains, Investors in Pupils Reps, School Council, Prefects, Senior Student Leaders. All denoted with either badge on their blazer or tie.

  • Extensive extra curricular programme.
  • Attendance Raffle Tickets each week leading to the prize draw at

the end of the year to win either an IPad, Kindle Fire HD or £20. Attendance Raffle for parents of those students with 100% attendance and most improved attendance for £200 Morrisons Vouchers.

  • Motivational Speakers on SPACE Days

  • 80% of teaching is good or better (18% of which is
  • utstanding)
  • 96% of work is marked frequently with identified

strengths and areas for improvement

  • This also includes, students responding to marking on a

consistent basis

  • Journal Trawls conducted in January and March to

assess the frequency, quantity and challenge of homework set. Then January Trawl highlighted inconsistencies which were addressed with individual staff and departments. This has resulted in an improved level of homework which corresponds with the homework timetable.
