Our school is located in Partinico, a town on the north-west coast of Sicily, with a population of about 30.000 inhabitants.

Our school is a comprehensive institute which includes different education levels: Kindergarten, from 3 to 5, Primary school, from 6 to 10 and Scuola Media (Middle school) with Music Course, from 11 to 13.

Our school is attended by 210 students and 20 teachers at kindergarten, 420 students and 34 teachers at primary school 356 students and 57 teachers at scuola media.

Every year the number of students increases.

This school is entitled to Collodi. He was a children’s writer, he wrote the world-renowned fairy tale novel THE ADVENTURES OF PINOCCHIO.

The ‘MAGGIORE GUIDA’ school is a Kindergarten and a Primary school.

MAJOR VINCENZO GUIDA WAS A YOUNG HERO OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR.

This school is entitled to Danilo Dolci (1924-1997). He was an Italian social activist, sociologist, popular educator and poet.

This school was built by Danilo Dolci in 1972 an it is located in the countryside. In this school students can study and do several activities in contact with nature. Every autumn children can do the olive harvest. Then there is a celebration called “Sagra dell’olio” that involves children and their families.

This school is entitled to Ninni Cassarà, a symbol of honesty, legality culture and struggle against mafia. Ninni Cassarà was a chief of Police and was killed by mafia in 1985 at the age of 37. He worked in the staff of the well known judge Giovanni Falcone killed by mafia in 1992.

The first committment of our school is promoting democracy values, starting with refusing to accept the equation: Sicily =mafia.
