• There is an opportunity gap; no Dallas ISD middle

school has been approved through the Public School Choice process. Also, 8-10% of all 5th graders do not enroll in their neighborhood middle school.

• Strategically align middle school instructional

models and pathways with high school pathways and programs.

• Create additional “best-fit”competitive middle

school models for parents and students.
