§ACT is a venture capital fund operating since July 2015, that makes pre-seed (PoC), seed and round A investments for the commercialization of technologies that are developed in Turkey. §The current commitments to the fund is EUR 22.5 Million. §The Fund was established as a Dutch entity and has five investment professionals. §ACT will invest in around 20 projects by the end of 2017. §ACT may invest up to EUR 2.5M per project (preferably in multiple rounds) in exchange for company shares (preferably significant minority – i.e. %20-%40). §Target technologies are micro and nano-electronics, Internet of Things, Software as a Service, robotics, advanced materials, clean technologies, biotechnology and medical technologies.

What we are looking for?

• When examining projects we are looking for strong IP and technology with

respect to the current state-of-the-art in order to create and maintain a barrier to entry.

• ACT aims to pick start-ups that has the potential to become global players.

Process Flow

§Projects are regularly delivered to ACT from its collaborating universities (TTOs), techno-parks, accelerators, incubators, our mentors, and other business networks. §The selection and evaluation process is conducted carefully with the support of ACT’s mentor network, formed of local and international sector experts. §We have so far processed over 700 projects. §Regarding governance, transparency and accountability, ACT complies with Invest Europe guidelines and code of conduct.
