“Offended”=Skandalizo • In the NT, as in the OT, the issue in skándalon (noun) is one’s rela4on to God. The skándalon is an obstacle to faith and hence a cause of falling and destruc4on. Theological Dic4onary of the N.T. • Jesus’ teaching was skandalon. Fall away from faith. Or it can mean to “lead someone into sin so that they fall away.”

Actually, it’s not even ‘forfeiHng’ a right, because the right doesn’t exist. We’re told to forgive, and that means anger has to go, whether we’ve decided our own anger is ‘righteous’ or not. Brant

Following him will cost everything and give everything. There are no half measures on this journey. The thing that you think makes your anger ‘righteous’ is the very thing you are called to forgive. Grace isn’t for the deserving. Forgiving means surrendering your claim to resentment and leZng go of anger. Brant
