Attendance & Punctuality

  • 98 - 100% = Excellent Attendance
  • Please phone us as soon as possible to tell us why

your daughter is absent and when you expect her to return

  • Only grant days for genuine illness (You will know!)
  • Avoid taking holidays in school time – these will not be

authorised

  • Where possible avoid missing half days for

medical/dental appointments. If this cannot be avoided, ensure that your daughter attends morning registration before leaving site and returns for afternoon lessons to avoid an absence mark

Uniform

  • If students are not in full uniform parents

will be contacted so that the issue can be rectified before students attend lessons. This may involve students being sent home.

  • All items of uniform should be clearly

marked or labelled.

  • We now offer trousers as part of the school

uniform – they must have the Bullers Wood rose on them.

  • Girls may wear a single pair of small, gold or

silver coloured, ball studs – no diamantés or

  • pearls. These should be worn in the lower

lobe only.

  • Nail varnish and false nails are not part of

the school uniform and must not be worn.

  • Lockers – think about getting a copy/spare
  • ne cut asap through school it will cost £6

and may take up to two weeks.

  • We have added an extra evening to purchase PE kit, which

is Monday 10th July.

  • If you cannot make this date please contact Mrs Williams via

email awilliams@bullerswood.bromley.sch.uk as they will need their PE kit for their first PE lesson.

  • The essential items for the PE kit are:

– Bullers Wood PE top – Bullers Wood PE leggings

  • From September other items can be purchased from the

school shop via squid. The school shop currently runs at lunchtime.

Homework

Show My Homework

  • Homework is set using the online forum ‘Show My

Homework’. This is accessible to both students and parents.

  • In most subjects students are given a week to complete any

piece of homework.

  • Students are set compulsory learning activities which must

be completed and optional learning activities for enrichment. Student’s Responsibilities:

  • Asking staff if homework is not clear.
  • Checking SMH regularly.
  • Undertaking all homework tasks to the best of her abilities.
  • Giving in homework at the specified times.

  • Helping your child to establish a routine for completing

homework.

  • Creating a quiet space for homework to take place
  • Ensuring that your child undertakes all tasks as recorded
