2019 Rain Out Policy
- League Notification
- If games are being cancelled by the league or city, notification will
be sent before 4:30pm on game day. (Web & Social media)
- If you have not received notification teams must show up to the
diamond and the umpire will determine if the field is safe for play.
- Failure to show up at the diamond will result in a default if the
umpire declares the field safe to play.
- If the umpire determines that the field is unsafe for play, the game will
be recorded as a rain out regardless of who is at the diamond.
- For late games; if the umpire determines at the early game that the
field will be unsafe for the remainder of the night, SLOPITCH.com will do our best to notify teams to not come to the diamond.
- Makeup Game Policy
- All games that are rained out will be rescheduled within the next few
days into the next available time slot - based on pre-determined league availability.
- All re-scheduled games are considered regular season games with
respect to defaults and notifications.
Score Reporting
- The winning team is responsible for reporting the score to the
League.
- In the event of a tie game, both teams should report the
score.
- In the event of a rained out or rain shortened game, (less
than 5 innings played) both teams should report the result.
- The game result must be reported within 48 hours.
- Failure to do so will result in no points being awarded and
getting marked as a permanent cancellation. (PC) To Report a score:
- League website (enter the scores yourself)
- Email to info@slopitch.com
- Phone Call (613) 783-2000 x 307 (leave a message)
Rosters
A complete Team Roster must be completed online as part of the team registration. Slo-Pitch National (SPN)
https://registration.slo-pitch.com
Roster changes may be made up until Friday 21st June. Team rosters of eligible players will published by July 21st to the website.
Spares (Regular Season only)
Spares are defined as players of other SLOPITCH.com league teams that are not on the current team’s roster. Any team can use a maximum of 2 spares in so much that the total number of players for that game does not exceed 10
- In Coed you can use a maximum of one male and one
female spare Note: If a spare is used in a game and a roster player shows and brings the total number of players above 10, the spare will be allowed to finish the game but cannot play the second game if applicable. No Spares allowed for the Play-offs
Alcohol Policy
“No” Alcohol Policy Under no circumstances should alcohol of any type be near a teams bench or consumed by the players during the allotted game time. When a game begins, the Umpire will inform Coaches and Captains at the home plate conference that if someone is found drinking alcohol that player and the coach are ejected for the
- night. If the ejections brings the team below 10 players, that
game is over and the opposing team is awarded a 7-0 win. Note: This ejection holds the same penalty as all ejections. The person ejected will receive a suspension of an additional night.
Safety Equipment
- Both SPN & SPO are highly
