Port Community System (Port EDI) Project Background of Port EDI System  In order to realize the National Single Window System, transformation of port related procedures from manual processes to pixel becomes one of the critical issues.  That’s why ‘ The Exchange of Notes ’ between the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Government of Japan has been signed on March 19, 2015.

Port Community System (Port EDI) Project Background of Port EDI System  ‘ The Grant Agreement ’ between MPA on behalf of the Ministry of Transport of the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and JICA Myanmar Office on behalf of the JICA was signed on March 26, 2015.  Grant Aid - ¥ 1720 Million (US$ 14.27 Million)

  25. Port Community System (Port EDI) Scope of Port EDI System  EDI covers most things that are traditionally done using paper-based communication. I D Business Description 01 Port-Clearance Procedures such as application from applicants to MPA and Procedures other ministries in the case of the port entrance and departure of the vessels, and procedures of reply/ approval by MPA and other ministries. 02 Berth Allocation Berth allocation for vessels to be entered. 03 Invoice Issuing Administrative work of charge claim and payment management procedure such as port terminal charge etc. 04 Statistics Support of making reports based on the statistical data. Management 05 Logistics Monitoring Real time data sharing with relatives such as ship movements (Visualization of information, container status information, etc. logistics) 06 Terminal Operation Support of terminal operation such as GC (general cargo) terminal, motor vehicle terminal and container terminal.
