To achieve excellence in cross-country skiing and to grow the interest in skiing within the Ottawa/Gatineau region, Mission through a club community that provides facilities and learning support to all ages of skiers and their families Mandate Enable individuals and families to enjoy cross-country Recreation A Cross Country skiing in a safe, family-friendly environment that teaches cross country ski techniques and the benefits and Community enjoyment of outdoor activity Provide coaching and training for competitive cross Racin g Competitive country ski racers that allows them to pursue and Program achieve their full potential in cross-country ski competition Create and maintain high quality cross country ski facilities Quality Facilities that can support both recreational skiing as well as host high caliber cross-country skiing competitive events We will collaborate with, and provide support to other organizations pursuing similar mandates in the Ottawa/Gatineau region.

Nakkertok Programs: Learn to Ski Numbers • Mud Monsters: 63 • NS LTS Sessions capped at max 140 skiers – registration still open • YTD – NS: Sat AM : 72 (incl 3 adults) – NS: Sat PM : 56 (incl 0 adults) – NS: Sun PM: 117 (incl 20 adults) – NN: Sun PM: 22 (incl 1 adults) • NS #’s running behind this time last year 5

Nakkertok Programs: Racing • 255 Athletes up from 236 last year • From 2011 to 1995 YOB (mini RR, RR, Juv, Jun, NJDT) • Athletes will attend local, provincial, national and international races • Race Director: Lisa Allan *new* • 3 Full Time Coaches 3 Paid Youth Coaches – Kieran Jones - Jesse Williams – Kevin Shields (*welcome*) - Kat Denis – Geoff Tomlinson - Alex Slobodian • 1 Paid Part-time Wax Tech: Nic Clifford + MANY Volunteers: Coaches/Waxers/Chaperones/Drivers/…….. 7

  8. Nakkertok Programs: Adventure • 76 Athletes enrolled in the program! • Head Coaches: Anita Netherton and Heather Erven. Managing team: Kevin Thomson, John Cuddihy, Jochen Lang and Eric Ross. • Boom in the youngest age group (Fishers) and great retention/ growth in the oldest group (Leaders). • Last year 3 athletes successfully completed their Half Ski Marathon at the Canadian Ski Marathon. 93 Nakkertok youth skiers completed 340 sections of the CSM! 8

  12. 2019 Canadian Ski Championships • 92 nd running of the Ski Nationals • 2019 Awarded to ENGNE – Nakkertok, Skinouk, Chelsea, Gatineau Loppet – Hosted at Nakkertok: March 13 to 20 th • Nakkertok is paid for facility use • Nakkertok proportionally shares in the profits based on number and type of volunteers • Anticipated – 850+ skiers from across Canada and the US – Plus skiers to prep for World Cup finals in Quebec City the following weekend 12

  13. 2019 T&F improvements* • Parking and Roads • Add gravel for springtime use • Replace drainage • Widen roadway at the top of the hill • Add signage and lighting • Ski Trail Network • Reapply for FIS certification existing trails plus new 7.5km • New Sunrise extension, plus the • Level, widen and smoothen trails for lower snow level • Improve drainage as required • Snow Making Network • Extend piping network: i) North under Powerline, ii) West up Peri’s way, iii) up Jackrabbit climb • New Timing Palace 13 * Funded mostly through grants to ENGNE because of the 2019 Canadian Ski Championships

Nakkertok North  VdM became the owner of the property/buildings effective May 11, 2018  Nakkertok will during the ski season:  Continue to manage trails and facilities on VdM and non-VDM lands  Be reimbursed for management on VdM lands  VdM will  Invest in the property, including taking care of major building expenses  VdM residents will  Be able to use the trail system free of charge  Become Nakkertok members to access LTS programming at Nakk North  A Management Committee has been set up: • Comprised of voting representatives from VdM Council, Nakkertok, Ski de Fond des Colines, and 2 citizens from VdM (and well represented by Nakkertok members) • Will allow Nakkertok members to use the VdM lands and buildings free of charge • Is tasked with developing a strategic plan for the area with skiing and non-motorized use a primary focus • Significant future investments into the facility are possible Thank-you John Stephenson!!! From a member perspective, NN will remain basically the same. From a club investment perspective, NN is becoming self sustaining 16
