  2. Introduction. My name is Michel van Zijl. My goal is to become a professional golfer. To make this dream become reality, I am looking for companies that can and want to help me achieve that. Of course, this has some advantages for you. About me. I play golf from the moment I could stand on my feet and I have always played with a lot of fun and love for the game. I started playing golf via Pitch and Putt. My father was a greenkeeper at a Pitch and Putt course and that is how I come in touch with the sport. I still play Pitch and Putt to this date, because it is a really good exercise for my short game at the golf course. I am a member of the Drentsche Golf & Country Club (DGCC) In 2010 I was selected in the C-selection with the NGF (Dutch Golf Federation) at Appelscha, but unfortunately this was being stopped by the NGF, we never heard the reason for them to stop at Appelscha. Because of my and my parents financial situation I have almost never played national and/or international tournaments. You can see that the sport of golf is going into a transition. The best players in the world bring a lot of time through in the gym to hit the ball further. This is something what I Zijl040201@gmail.com need to improve in by a lot to step up my game. Also, the mental aspect is really important in golf, how are you thinking about you last played shot, what is going +31 6 37026081 Michel van Zijl through your mind while approaching your ball for the next shot and how do you handle with emotional hights and depts. My handicap progress. 2

  3. Zijl040201@gmail.com My best results. +31 6 37026081 Michel van Zijl Club championship youth DGCC 2011. Dutch Open Pitch and Putt youth 2013 winner. European Championship Pitch and Putt youth 2015 winner. Youth golfer of the Year DGCC 2015. Club championship par 3 DGCC 2018 winner. Golfer and Youth golfer of the Year 2018 DGCC. Club championship matchplay DGCC 2018 winner. Club championship strokeplay DGCC 2019 winner. Aphrodite Hills International Junior Cup 2020 10 th place. Delfland Youth Open 2020 2 nd place. My plan to go pro. In the past, I did not train as much as most of the others. For a long time I used my talent to keep up with the other players and I did a good job with that. I could even compete with some of the best youth players in The Netherlands. During training sessions on my own I did not have a challenge and that is why I hated training and I was not looking forward to playing 9 or 18 holes on my own, at least that is what I thought. A few years ago I found out that going on the course by yourself is really nice and relaxing and that is what I do really often now. I need to train more by getting precise exercises by the teaching pro’s at our course, so I get a swing that is not only good at this moment but which can get me to the successes in a few years’ time. 3

  4. My prospect. My goal is to have a European Tour-card within 7 years. To get there I firstly have to qualify, I want to qualify like this. 2020 In 2020, during and after my study, I want to play a lot of national tournaments and three international tournaments from Global Junior Golf (GJG) to gain enough experience for 2021. How many and which national tournaments I will be playing is not decided, because the calendar is not finished yet. My goal this year is to get one top-10 ranking in an GJG tournament. My goal for national tournaments is to play at the top of the leader boards. 2021 During this year I want to focus on playing GJG tournaments, I would like to play eight of these tournaments. From those eight tournaments I want to finish three times in the top-10. I will also be playing some national tournaments, again, I do not know which ones as the calendar is not published. I do know which were in 2020 and use them to know which ones I want to play in 2021 My goal for national tournaments is to compete again at the top. Zijl040201@gmail.com 2022 +31 6 37026081 Michel van Zijl In 2022 I want to play 3 tournaments at the ProGolf Tour to get experience for 2023, besides these tournaments, I will play some national tournaments as well. My goal for 2022 is to make the cut two out of the three times in the ProGolf Tour. The cut at top-40 and ties. I also want to get my hands on a KLM Open wildcard for 2023. At the end of 2022 I will say goodbye to my amateur status and officially go pro. Now, because of my professional status, I can earn money when I have good results. 2023 Now I have to make the step up the ProGolf Tour. One full season competing and eventually ending with a top-5 ranking at the end of the year to get my Challenge Tour- card and competing there in 2024. 2024/2025 I expect to be needing two years to get the ranking I need to go to the European Tour. You need a top-15 ranking at the end of the year to go to the European Tour. 2026 I achieved my goal and I play, hopefully thanks in part to you, at the European Tour! 4

  5. Focus. Now that my route has been planned I need the financial and mental calm to train as hard as possible for my goal. If I can get the calm I need, then I can focus fully at that what is needed to get the maximum out of my effort and talent. Program GJG 2020. The provisional program for the Global Junior Golf in 2020. Zijl040201@gmail.com +31 6 37026081 Michel van Zijl 5
