Y-axis - Feasibility Test ● The y-axis from the P14551 Senior Design project ● Wanted to ensure that the axes could ○ Handle the weight they are expected support ○ Operate with the required accuracy ● Y-axis passed Feasibility Test and we utilize it in our system ● However the motion bed has some play in it and the team plans to add reinforcements to make the axis more robust

Y & Z CAD ● The pitch of the Z axis lead screw was 2 millimeters / revolution ● The pitch of Y axis lead screw was 3 millimeters / revolution ● The motors driving the system are capable of 200 steps per revolution ● However, since these motors can microstep, the aforementioned limitation is more than compensated for
