Propolis is a resinous material collected by honeybees and has various biological activities (antibacterial, antiviral etc.)[1]. It contains phenolics [2], widely recognized as strong antioxidants and suggest that propolis could be applied topically to prevent and treat skin damages [3]. Moreover, safety hazards, high cost of organic solvents and the increased concern for environmental pollution, led to green technologies and innovative extraction procedures [4-6]. This project aims to develop high-quality cosmeceutical agents, based on Greek propolis involving environmentally friendly techniques.
