Why are we doing this project? • Metropolitan Council oversees the regional parks and trails implementing agencies • Funding will not be available to reconstruct infrastructure without first updating the original master plan. • To ensure future facilities are resilient to high and low water conditions 3

  4. What is the Process and Schedule? • January 2020 – Begin project public input • February – Develop Concepts, public review • March – Preferred Master Plan Concept, public review • May – October – Plan writing and formal approvals at the city, county, and metropolitan council • Seek funding for flooded infrastructure replacement CONCEPT PUBLIC AND PLAN APPROVALS INPUT WRITING 4

  5. Tonight’s Meeting Format The Master Plan will address the following areas: 1. Snail Lake Area Picnic Facilities 2. Wetland A Trails 3. Grass Lake Trails Areas are represented at individuals tables. Please write comments or draw on the maps provided. Written comments collected in comment box. 5
