Rule reminder

  • TShirts and badges are mandatory on the contest

floor

  • Nothing new on the contest floor today (no mascots, no

notebooks, no pens)

  • No electronics on the contest floor
  • No bags on the contest floor
  • Leave your belongings with your coach, another coach,
  • r in the cloakroom
  • No food/drinks in the rooms
  • Access to 4B and 5B only through the 3rd floor

Contest environment issues

  • Atom

→ fix deployed for clang → linting: no solution found

  • Problem with the keyboard layout and VSCode

→ use setxkbmap (see “Technical precisions” on the SWERC landing page, first bookmark in browsers)

  • Crashes when using up all RAM

→ we have disabled the swap on all machines to encourage the OOM to run earlier → we have added a ulimit directive → still, please don’t do that :)

  • OCaml plugin for VSCode

→ OCaml plugin by hackwaly is deprecated → vscode-reasonml plugin by reasonml-editor is deprecated → reason-vscode plugin by Jared Forsyth does not seem to work (we run into problems described in open issues) → no solution found

  • Software requests (gnome-tweak, calculators...)

→ we have installed gnome-calculator → we have not installed gnome-tweaks

  • Issues when switching between windows in the WM

within a group

→ use alt-‘ (backtick, top left of keyboard)

Behavior

  • Talking is only allowed between members of the same

team while seated at their desk

  • No talking across teams, or away from your desk

(especially in the corridor)

  • Don’t do anything that jeopardizes the contest:
