HOW THE COMPETITION IS ORGANIZED

  • The competition: two stages (Stage 1 and Stage 2)
  • School selects appropriate level for each contestant according to their current level
  • Stage 1: participants receive a Certificate with their level
  • Results for stage1 issued with list of contestants progressing to stage 2
  • Stage 2: all stage 2 participants receive Certificate of Achievement
  • Names of finalists and 2nd , 3rd place winners announced
  • Global Event hosted in:

European Youth Capital each year (2020: Amiens, France).

  • On average 10% -15% proceed to Stage 2 (based on performance

in Stage 1)

  • Stage 2 also includes 10 Qs Listening and one writing task.
  • Finalists chosen for each level (1st 2nd and 3rd runners up are also

awarded)

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE TEST?

  • Answer sheets are returned to the International Organisers;
  • All marking is conducted by the International Organisers (no local marking);
  • EECentre informs schools/candidates progressing to Stage 2.

  • Finalists and runners up are awarded prizes at a local award ceremony.
  • Schools and teachers with award winning students receive certificates of

recognition and awards.

  • Finalists (accompanied by their teacher*) compete with international finalists

and participate in Global Winner contest * Number of finalists depends on entries and is decided by EECentre - official partner for Romania.
