- Approve and Certify Data Management processes and
products as part of milestone decision reviews (MDR) – Establish and Execute a Two-Year Data Transformation Strategy “Data Czar Leads Transformation”
- Data Stewards (Senior Executive Service or General Officer level) will be identified by
appointment letters
– Have the authority to provide guidance, direct migration, consolidation, or retirement of applications and databases – Develop, publish, and implement a data transformation plan to support and align with the CDO transformation plan – Identify Authoritative Data Sources and register them in the Authoritative Data Source Registry – Establish a baseline and identify and track success metrics for their individual functional areas in coordination with enterprise metrics as established by the CDO – Assign Functional Data Managers for capability areas/segments in their functional area – Ensure that technology strategies are aligned with the business and administration processes and warfighting strategies 4 UNCLASSIFIED
