Effluent / Pasture Management

The effluent system is a two pond storage system with no release into natural waterways.

Water diversion prevents stormwater from being added to the ponds.

A flood wash system is used to remove effluent from the main yard.

All effluent is recycled via smart hydrant irrigators. 136 hectares of the farm is covered by irrigators.

Paddock soil testing is done every 2 years, grass is boosted with gibberellic acid at strategic times and regressing with a turnip and chickory rotation on 6%

Ag Hub

Why Ag Hub;

 More scientific approach to farm management.  Ability to monitor small changes that would result in material gains.  As the farm expands more, Ag Hub provides good internal controls as well as

transparency for all parties involved.

 Cloud computer allows Ag Hub to be accessed from anywhere, whether it is the

team on the farm, or the land owners in Auckland or overseas.

 Accurate recording, planning and forecasting of dry matter feed.  Accurate tracking of fertiliser / effluent application to paddocks, minimising

wastage and increasing efficiency of distribution
