  • Child Care: $273.8 million ($66.5 million in stimulus, but $3 million GR cut)
  • Parents as Teachers: $21 million (flat funding)
  • First Steps: $60.3 million (flat funding)
  • Pre–K thru 12th Formula: $3.5 billion (flat funding – SAT remains $6,375)
  • Public Placement Fund: $5.625 million (flat funding)
  • Colleges: Cut by $68.5 million (restored if stimulus if available)

Child Welfare

  • Children’s Division Home Visiting: $8.345 million (includes $907,000 federal)
  • Children’s Division Medicaid Home Visitation: $3 million for a new program
  • School Age After Care: $21.57 million (flat funding)

Nutrition, Health & Mental Health

  • Child Nutrition Program: $185 million federal
  • DD Wait List: $22 million (includes $7.7 million GR)

Request: Strengthen the Federal Fiscal Relief Provisions of CARES and Families First Acts:

  • 1. Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP)
  • Tie the increase to economic conditions and remains in place as long

as unemployment remains elevated.

  • 2. Increase and extend the Coronavirus Relief Fund
  • Make the use of the funding flexible to fill budget shortfalls
