Private Sector Participation in Water Sector Legal framework for WUAs • Jordan Valley Development Law and its amendment No(19) for the year 1988. • Article No (3) 2: Jordan Valley Authority may by decision of the Cabinet of Ministers upon the recommendations of the Board pledge any of the accomplished projects or shall be completed or managed or any investment project carried out by the Authority in the valley to any person from the private sector through leasing, management or operation in accordance with the legislation in force excludes the transfer of ownership of irrigation projects and water sources development projects.
