Investments into the TSW

  • The Trent Severn Waterway’s 386 km navigable waterway, and 18000 km2

watershed, requires large capital assets to support its operations. These include 2 lift locks, 2 flight locks, 36 conventional locks, a marine railway, and 160 dams or

  • ther water control measures.
  • To date, more than $615 million of projects have been announced as part of the

national program of work.

  • Since 2015, more than $300 million of projects have been completed or are

underway

  • In June 2015, major rehabilitation work was announced for

Mississagua Lake Dam

  • Following analysis of the existing dam site and further

investigation of the dam structure, it was determined that a full replacement was necessary.
