  2. 2013 Accomplishments • Served 9,875 students in 1900 sections • Completed 13 degrees for transfer • Held a College Planning Retreat • Approved new academic programs: Music Technology, Sustainable Small Farm Management, and Viticulture • Board approved men’s soccer and women’s golf • Attained HSI eligibility status with 27% Latino Students • Unveiled The Lake Center, The North County Center , the new Student Center , and the College Plaza.

  3. 2013 Accomplishments • Our dedicated classified staff provided academic, student services, personal, athletic and organizational support • Built state-of-the-art Nursing facility • Completed technology upgrades • Developed a new web site • Continued to serve the entire region, including Anderson Valley , Potter Valley , Upper Lake , Clearlake, Kelseyville, and Round Valley • Facilitated student access and success while fulfilling our college mission.

As we look ahead… • Governor Brown’s concern for serving underrepresented CA students • Brown’s local-control funding formula for K-12 call for billions of dollars toward the education of poor and English-learner students • National effort to close the achievement gap that negatively impacts Latino, African-American, and poor students • California’s Community Colleges Chancellor Brice Harris shared the vision and commitment for closing achievement gaps, improving completion rates in Basic Skills math, English and English as a Second Language courses • Student Success Initiative to directly benefit all students , including low-income students, and help them to complete their educational goals
