  4. COMPANY ACTIVITIES: Advanced Composite Engineering Solutions (ACES) is engaged in, Designing Engineering Prototyping Tool Development Manufacturing Installation (100% INHOUSE ACTIVITIES) 4

  5. CONCRETE VS COMPOSITE WHAT ARE COMPOSITES?? • A composite material is one, which is composed of at least two elements working together to produce material properties that are different to the properties of those elements on their own. • A composite is a combination of various materials to form one heterogeneous material meant for engineering solutions and applications. 5

  6. CONCRETE VS COMPOSITE COMPOSITE CONCRETE Light weight Heavy weight Strength : Weight ratio - High Strength : Weight ration - Less Aesthetics and finishes of high quality Aesthetics and finishes of a regular (Wood / Granite / Decorative finish) concrete Maintenance free Maintenance free Durable (50 to 100 years). Durable (50 to 100 years). Fire proof / Fire retardant. Fire proof Fast setting time (1hour) Prolonged setting time (28 days) Molding process advantages: On-site limitations: • Difficult to control material • Correct Material Specifications specifications • Process Consistency • Process consistency not assured • No precision • Precision Easy and fast installation hence Longer installation time. reduces project lead time. 8

  7. ADVANCED MATERIALS – CONCRETE COMPOSITES ACES has specially Formulated & Developed special concrete composite range suitable for end applications which are tested and certified by reputed labs - Durocrete & CSRL • ACC001 - Polymer Concrete – M60 to M200+ (Strong in compression) • ACC002 - Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer Composite (GRPC) – M60 to M200+ (Strong in compression, tensile & impact) • ACC003 – Alcofine Concrete Composite – M80+ • ACC004 – Light Weight Concrete (1000kg/m3) – M10 • ACC005 – Concrete with Tensile Strength – No Re-bar required These materials are specially processed resulting in high grade strengths M200+/M80+/M40+ These materials are further strengthened for Tensile and Impact strength with either Steel, Glass, Polypropylene Fibers. 9

  8. ADVANCED MATERIALS – OTHER COMPOSITES ACES is conversant and using lot of other composite materials depending on end applications. • Grades of Polymeric Resins – Isophthalic, Bisminol, Vinyl ester • Grades of Glass fibers, Steel fibers, Polypropylene fibers • Grades of foams – Polyurethane, Polystyrene, Polyethylene. • Core materials. 10

  9. POLYMER CONCRETE : : Polymer Concrete is a composite material consisting of a resin (typically polyester) which binds aggregates such as sand and stone together to form a dense matrix Properties Polymer Concrete Portland Cement Compressive Strength, psi 14,000-20,000 3000-5000 Tensile Strength, psi 1200-2000 200-400 Modulus of Rupture, psi 3,000-4000 650-750 Modulus of Elasticity, psi x16 5.0-5.5 3.0-3.5 Shear Bond Strength, psi 650-700 120-140 Water Absorption <1% 5.5% Freeze Thaw Resistance 1600/0* 750/25* *Number of Cycles / %Weight Loss # Polymer Concrete is chemically resistant to, Hydrochloric, Sulphuric, Nitric, Acetic, Formic, Acid. • Soda Lye, Ammonium, Soda, Ethyl Alcohol, Sea Water . • 11
