A. General requirements for E&T of all personnel (including workers) B. Employers/registrants/licensees ensure that all personnel have the appropriate E&T C. Employers/registrants/licensees provide appropriate training to occupationally exposed persons D. Employers/registrants/licensees provide workers with the training necessary to restrict potential exposures E. Employers/registrants/licensees maintain and make available the records of training of personnel in radiation protection F. Workers accept information, instruction and training in protection and safety

Take Home Points

The establishment by Member States of a national strategy for

E&T in radiation safety is one of the key factors to build sustainable competence, in compliance with relevant IAEA Safety Standards

For that purpose IAEA is supporting Member States

providing guidance on how to establish a national strategy for E&T, and developing training material

Through RASIMS/TSA6 IAEA and Member States will monitor the

progress made and analysing challenges faced and difficulties encountered, in order to identify possible solutions to be rendered to MSs (e.g. national seminars; expert missions)
