Hampshire Rugby Referees: Coaches/Managers Workshop

Hampshire Rugby Referees would like to invite you to a Coaches/Referees/Managers Workshop at Winchester RFC on 19 Sept, 1900 for 1930. The objective of the Workshop will be to share our collective view on how we can develop a better game in Hampshire with more people wanting to play and be involved more often in club rugby. The workshop will be an open forum that will include referees and the invitation is being forwarded to clubs, colleges & schools. Topics:

• How rugby should be refereed in Hampshire by Society Referees and how we can create a consistent

approach that clubs and players will recognise and support.

• What issues Club coaches have identified in pre and early season matches and how we can clarify

interpretations and any misunderstandings.

• What is the protocol and process for appointing and confirming match officials by the Society and the

Clubs and their representatives

• How clubs can contribute to the development of Referees and how Referees can help the

development of the Club, its coaches and players
