Academic Probation  did not achieve the Minimum Academic Standard in a semester  grade point average (GPA) was less than 1.50 or,  more than one "F", "N" or "U" on a semester record or transcript  Academic Probation can be thought of as a warning .  What do you need to do?  Make an appointment to see Christine or Lulin about your Academic Plan  Talk to Celine, Brad or Teresa in the IE Office about your Study Permit* lz

  4. Academic Suspension  When a student fails to achieve the Minimum Academic Standard in a semester immediately following a semester in which the student was on Academic Probation.  Students who are suspended can not study at Langara for 3 semesters  What do you need to do?  Make an appointment to see Christine or Lulin in the Counselling Office to develop an Academic Success Plan  Talk to Celine, Brad or Teresa in the IE Office about your Study Permit and your stay in Canada* lz

  6. Seeking help  Instructors  Writing center at the Library ( one on one tutoring/workshop)  Librarians at the library for help in doing research  There are many services and supports on campus that will help you achieve your goals  All are free and provide assistance in a variety of areas
