Program title “ Chia Sẻ Tâm Tình”: To avoid stigmatization and taboo. To create a safe environment. Sharing beyond everyday conversation.
Outreach Engaging process and language. Materials and strategies. Locations (e.g. community events, residences; nursing home; media, public library, collaborates with other organizations, etc) 200+ events and 500+ seniors.
Enrollment Process:
Meet with seniors for engagement and assessment. Enrolled 107 96 seniors have completed 8-14 sessions; 11 dropped out
Community Events: 6 community events. Honoring seniors’ lives. Connects within community.
Successes: Many seniors have improved their physical and mental health. Social active within community. Accesses community resources.

Challenges: Difficulty to reach out isolated seniors. Working with gatekeepers. Continues to support seniors after completing the program.
Recommendation: Other ethnicities (e.g. Cambodian, Chinese) would benefit from this program. Final Products and community events are important. On going support activities after seniors complete the program.
