What can GECF bring to its Members?

  • A unique platform of cooperation dedicated to natural gas,

which includes major gas exporters. Cooperation is a core value

  • f the Forum.
  • Enables the exchange of best practices and expertise on

market development. GECF Secretariat develops its proper forecasts in an annual publication (i.e. the Global Gas Outlook) basing on shared understating of market developments, and sophisticated modeling capabilities.

  • Support technology innovation and progress for better

performance of gas systems: GECF recently established a Gas Research Institute that aims to reinforce research activities on different technologies and improve their efficiency

  • Enhance the voice of natural gas and promotes its role in the

context of energy transitions to less carbon intensive energy

  • systems. GECF is an observer of the UNFCCC framework

contribution to the debate on climate change mitigation and adaptation.

  • GECF has launched an environmental actions framework that

aims to create a supportive and collaborative framework allowing Member Countries to promote and strengthen the sustainable image of natural gas.
