As part of his job, Mr. Narula has had to travel extensively to many different parts of the world, and has

  • ver the years managed to establish a very impressive number of long lasting business relationships with

people from many different cultures.   • MR. PIERRE DELALANDE (Senior Trainer)

Pierre Delalande has lived in Thailand for 40 years, since February 1970. He was educated in Paris, then at the University of Montpellier in France, with degrees in General Agriculture and advanced degrees in Tropical Agriculture, in the field of Plant Protection and Bio-Ecology. He also furthered his studies in Economic Sciences. For 3 years, he served as Agricultural Expert in Central African countries, coping with a variety of religions, languages and cultural groups. Transferred in Thailand in 1970, he worked as an Agricultural Expert with the Thai Department of Agriculture. It was an opportunity to understand farmers’ mentality as well as Thai bureaucratic system. Thereafter, he switched to tourism related business, managing cross-cultural teams in travel agencies, hotels and restaurants. Especially, he served for almost 8 years as Senior Assistant Manager of The Bangkok Peninsula / The Regent of Bangkok (now Four Seasons),

  • ne of the finest hotels in the world. So doing, he developed, during a period of over 20 years, a high sense
  • f “Customer Service”. For the past 20 years, he has been leading the “Once Upon A Time” Group (Thai

restaurants, Farm-stay lodging, Ornamental & medicinal plants, Thai scented products, Photo-studio, Stage and TV dramas, Graphic design), and acting has been his hobby for 25 years. Subsequently, he intensively participated, since 1995, in numerous seminars organized for international or multinational companies, as director, instructor or facilitator.  He conducted several seminars on “Cross-Cultural Management Skills”, especially for ABB, ABN-Amro- Bank, BCC, Ch.
