ECNL and Girls DA

  • ECNL created by clubs in 2009 due to lack of program from US

Soccer (Boys DA formed in 2007)

  • Girls DA started in Fall 2017.
  • ECNL enters its 10th year in Fall 2018, while DA enters its 2nd.
  • ECNL is sanctioned by US Club Soccer, which like US Youth

Soccer, is a youth member of US Soccer. The DA is a program

  • f US Soccer.
  • Both entities cater to the elite female athlete through their nation-

wide format and emphasis on player development and meaningful games

  • One primary difference is that ECNL players are permitted to

represent their schools, and enjoy the High School soccer experience.
