Memorial South Park – Senior’s Fitness Area  New fitness area for seniors under construction near the field house and recreational track  Includes a mix of equipment to promote muscle strength, balance, flexibility  Opening event planned for April 31

Playground Renewals  Eleven PB locations are in the process for upgrade over the next two years  Includes Ash, Winona, Beaconsfield, Jones, Kaslo, Granville, Champlain Heights, Charleson, Granville parks; Trout Lake and Thunderbird community center pre-schools 32

Spanish Banks – Vandalism of Trees Eight trees at Spanish Banks have been intentionally vandalized, their tops sawed off and limbs removed. The trees are part of a grove of conifers at the foot of Tolmie Street. 34

Vanier Park – Vandalism of Turf There was damage to the grass area of Vanier Park, near the boat launch and west toward the Maritime Museum on the night of January 20. 36

Council Business – City Participation in Women Deliver Conference 2019 Park Board staff are participating on a cross departmental Steering Committee and have proposed a number of initiatives including the revival of the “Remarkable Women 35 Series” .
