The Random Acts of Kindness Club - History

• Students from the MS Student Council along with a selection of other student leaders attended

the Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center (MARC) training for student leaders (October 2017) at Bridgewater State University

• Those students suggested starting a Kindness Club
• The Random Acts of Kindness Club started in January 2018 and was open to any interested

students in grades 5-8 - there were 16 students

• The RAK Club is lead by our MS student leaders - building consensus when choosing activities and

working to encourage kindness throughout the year

• This year the RAK Club is open to students in grades 3-8 and we currently have over 50 students
