NUNOC is a service Centralized NOC but distributed organization

  • NOC is available 24/7
  • Active monitoring between 07:00-19:00
  • ncall rest of the time (alarms and phone)
  • 6 dedicated personnel working in shift
  • Functions performed by NOC include:

Monitoring, troubleshooting, provisioning, planning (participates in projects)

Inter NOC communication

  • NOC communicate with other

departments mainly using E-mail and IM (jabber, a chatroom is usually created during major fault)

  • Mainly communicating with providers

using email, track providers ticket systems.

  • Retrieve reports from our ticket system

to use at provider followup meetings

  • Headertags for filtering tickets
