This data references FTIACS who either participated and earned a 2.0 grade in an TRS 104: FYE class or did not participate nor successfully complete a TRS 104:FYE class

2014- 2016: TRS 283 - First pilot sections were offered in Winter 2015

Fall 2015: 7 sections Winter 2016: 3 sections Fall 2016: 6 sections

2017 – 2019 TRS 104 FYE :

Between 2015 and 2019 we more than tripled our sections and more than quadrupled our enrollment

⚫4TH week - Middle of the Semester – ⚫Length of time: 1 hour 20 minutes –(ENTIRE CLASS TIME) ⚫Purpose:

  • 1. Complete “Strong Interest Inventory” (SII) Group Interpretation Workshop
  • 2. RIASEC – Holland’s Party Game
  • 3. SII Interpretation
  • 4. Begin researching using O*Net and other online resources to focus on career

research.

⚫ Purpose:

  • 1. Continue Career Counseling
  • 2. Introduce the Career Manual
  • 3. Work on action plan and career decision
  • 4. Class advising
  • 5. Connect to appropriate Pathway Advisor/Counselor if no longer

undecided/exploring

⚫ 8TH week (Ideally happens right before the withdrawal date – so

students understand their options) Length of time: 90 minutes –(ENTIRE CLASS TIME)

⚫ Purpose:

  • 1. Student will complete the “Reality Check Self-Assessment”

document for student to assess his/her progress before meeting individually with the career advisor

  • 2. Check-in on students’ progress after one-on-one appointment.
  • 3. Meet with student individually in a separate area (hallway) to

check-in on students’ progress with Career Action Plan. Depending on the student and his/her progress, s/he might be good to go or need to make another appointment with career advisor.
