Water restauration in case of Denmark
The SWOT showed needs in the rivers: ecological status was not good. The programme strategy: the programme shall contribute to the implementation of the CFP, the implementation of the Natura 2000 directives and contribute to the objectives of the Water Framework Directive.

Political agreement for 2014-2017
The strategy continues: ”In accordance with the Water Framework Directive good ecological status must be secured for freshwater. River and lake restauration must improve the habitats for flora and fauna and create continutity in rivers. The measure will contribute to good ecological status in the aquatic environment”
