  • Keeping vehicles in like new conditions
  • Looking for potential failures
  • Attention to detail

Preventative Maintenance

 What should be included on a PMI?

Interior- Driver, passenger area’s, HVAC system, Wheel Chair Operation…. Exterior- Body, mirrors, windows, lights, wheels, tires…. Undercarriage- Brakes, Suspension, Drive train….. Engine Compartment- Fluids, belts, hoses, exhaust, intake systems, Fluid leaks, All electrical Documentation should include

  • Vehicle info
  • Date, mileage and type of inspection
  • Company name

Contains Credentials- VTT, License, Medical card and pull notices. ALL MUST BE CURRENT Pull notices must be submitted within 30 days of hire date. SAMBA Fleetwatch is a program used to track DMV records. Once in system notices are sent annually unless there is a major change

 Make a spreadsheet to keep you on top of any

expiring credentials

Standard Out Of Service Criteria. Can be found in CVSA web site www.cvsa.org

 Should always be ready for their visit  Inspections for Transit are annually  Only two ratings Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory  Terminal checklist available
