About the BCAFM

Our Mission: To support, promote and develop farmers' markets in British Columbia

  • 125 Member markets across the Province

To increase access to healthy local food of low-income pregnant women, families and seniors to improve the health of low- income British Columbians and economic prosperity of British Columbia farmers who sell at BC farmers’ markets.

The BC Farmers Market Nutrition Coupon Program is an initiative

Lower-income families and seniors enroll with a community partner Community partner gives recipients coupons & nutrition skill-building opportunities The recipient purchases eligible items at their local farmers markets

Participants receive $15/week; fjve x $3 vouchers 16 weeks of distribution, 20 weeks of redemption Larger families may receive additional booklets
