Background

The Medical Image Analysis Network is one of eight Networks set up in 2014 to identify and develop Engineering and Physical Sciences solutions to important unmet clinical needs identified by the eight NIHR Healthcare Technology Cooperatives (HTCs). The HTCs exist to focus on clinical areas and/or themes of high morbidity which have high potential for improving the quality of life of NHS patients and the effectiveness of healthcare services that support them. In addition HTCs work collaboratively with patients and patient groups, charities, industry and academics.
