  2. Identity KMOP is one of the oldest Greek NGOs with more than 35 years of accumulated experience in the provision of services to disadvantaged groups. KMOP’s main areas of expertise include: social welfare and health employability and human rights protection, scientific research development of know-how in social policy issues.

  3. Target groups Persons with disabilities (mainly mental); Long term unemployed and individuals with low typical skills; Elderly; Victims of violence and trafficking; Children and youth at risk; Families facing various challenges (e.g. single-parented families, families living below poverty line) Migrants, asylum seekers and unaccompanied minors.

  4. Activities  Direct provision of services through decentralised community based facilities : Three Ment al Health Rehabilitation Centres (Group Houses) for people with severe mental • disorders. The services provided include housing, therapeutic and nursing services, social skills-training, regular medical examinations, education and vocational training. Day Care Cent re offers support t o people, aged between 20 and 50 years old, with moderate • but chronic mental disorders that are facing social exclusion and marginalisation.  KMOP is actively involved in both national and EU/international projects addressing social issues

KMOP projects similar to Epislon  DIVERS ITY (REC programme): aims to make a diagnosis of the multiple dimensions of homo- and transphobia in small and medium cities in Europe, in order to share best practices and promote innovative measures to prevent and combat this social problem, make visible the needs and lives of LGBT people and ensure their fundamental rights.  MoveOn (Erasmus+) aiming to share, develop and transfer effective practices, training and knowledge of professionals working with migrants.  MINGLE (EC/ LLP): aiming to enhance quality of life & facilitate integration to local society of migrant workers by improving their access to language training courses and other guidance and counselling material.  Grant proj ect under “ Equal Opportunities” (Greek Ministry of Employment & S ocial Protection). The overall obj ective was to contribute to social inclusion and advancement of women’s rights and combat discrimination generating characteristics, like xenophobia and poverty through the promotion of employment

  7. Output O4: The EpsiLon Educational Resources: Final eBook (IARS & KMOP) Description The final ebook will integrate the 2 year learning and practical results of programme. It will bring together theoretical and practical results of the programme including its pilots, training and on the ground learning from each participating country and Europe. It will include policy recommendations and best practices for those serving asylum seekers and refugees. The main body will be written in English but chapters will be included in the various participating country languages. The annexes will include the training material and examples of innovative educational practices in the proj ect area. Activities - collection of quantitative and qualitatiive outcomes from the piloting of activities - consultation with stakeholders and representative on end users - Collation of feedback from each partner - Drafting of Final Report with a chapter in each partner language and a final comparative chapter in English - IARS ' manager will lead on the editing of this output as well as its quality control. He will liaise with the independent Academic Board in order to peer review it and pursue its publication in various other external mediums. - IARS manager will publish it via IARS Publications and catalogue it with the British Library, issue IS BN and ensure it is made available worldwide via registration with catalogues and online sources. Duration 01-05-2018 31-08-2018

Multiplier Event: E1 Opening International Conference (KMOP) Description This will be an international conference held in Greece to disseminate the first intellectual output (e- book) and launch the findings of the research including the collection of good practices of the proj ect. At least 90 delegates will attend the conference nationally and internationally. The event will help increase awareness both about the themes it aims to cover but also the proj ect itself. It will be held 6 months after the proj ect starts raising awareness for its remaining outputs and outcomes. Deadline 01-03-2017 Participants At least 100 key stakeholders will be invited from the national and European arena including educational professionals, policy makers and refugees.

  9. Activity C1: Short-term joint staff training event (KMOP) Description following the delivery of Intellectual Output 1 and 2, the partners will first deliver internal face to face training to each other. The training will aim at cross cultural learning but also in testing concepts beyond national boarders. The ultimate aim is not only to increase the knowledge and capacity of the participating organisations but also refine the finalised training material and courses in order to be appropriate at a European level. Furthermore, each organisation that will be trained will be expected to pass on this training to their remaining proj ect volunteers, staff and members. Participants 15 participants, duration During this session representatives from the partner organisations will include proj ect staff but also external advisors and volunteers. Duration 5 days Pilot testing Once the material and face to face training package is completed, each participating organisation will pilot them with external professionals in their own countries. This session will act as pilot and evaluated. The findings will feed into the evaluation process of the entire programme which will refine and finalise its practical results and publish them in one volume at the end of the proj ect.
